Fall Trend: Oxfords (I Own Them!)

I've been anti- oxfords for a while now.  I just really don't care for flat shoes.

At all.

I prefer heels and wedges...which was fine and dandy while I was on the regional campus- maybe have to park in the back of the lot on an unlucky day, walk up a flight of stairs, walk a few yards, walk up another flight of stairs and I've arrived at my classroom.

But now that I'm on the main campus and will be doing a lot of walking (on cobblestone at that) I figured it's time to invest in a couple pair of flats.

I have my blingy sandals (love!) and a few pair of other slip-ons but I don't feel as though the slip-ons will carry me into late fall appropriately.  They're the prissy, low cut ones that cover just enough foot....and they're not very comfortable either due to the way that they are cut.

Today I came across a pair of oxfords for only $11.99 so I said, "Why not?"

Why not?:
So I'm picturing several outfits that I can do with these (picture with me):
  • Boyfriend jeans and flannel style shirt
  • cropped denim and sweater
Okay, that's all I got right now.  But I feel like these will be versatile enough that I will feel confident I didn't waste a lot of money (not like they were expensive anyway.)

New Boots!

I've been eying these boots forever (well since August 4) because they're super on trend, super cute, and super perfect for fall.  I've had them sitting in my wishlist hoping that the price would go down.  It actually did go down quite a bit. I think they started just under $50 and I was able to score them for $35.99. I was trying so hard to let them go down to like $31 or under but several other items (I didn't want as much) went out of stock and I realized how upset I would be if I couldn't score these beauties for fall.  I went ahead and grabbed them because it only takes one.  That one person that decides to buy the shoes and then they're not mine.

Here they are:

I like the  military trend that is big for this fall but I don't care for the all-out look on me so I've decided to work pieces in with other outfits.  These boots are perfect.

Now I really have to get to work or I won't be heading back until Tuesday.
