Here is my outfit. It's another work outfit.  I'm just so excited to have a job that I can wear most of my clothes to.

Spring Forward (Num 1)

I love the way this dress fits and feels.  I love the pattern and the colors.

I love how girly and versatile this is.  It can easily be dressed up or down.

Dress is no longer available on Agaci's website but check it out anyway.  They have some cute things.

FTC disclaimer: Everything in this video was paid for by me.  I'm not receiving compensation for making this post or wearing these items.

AMIClubwear.com--Damaged Shoes

This post is going to be primarily to show you the damage on the fake CL shoes.  In my Ami Opinion video I had showed a lot of clothing items but the video was waaaay too long so I cut it down to items I know are available now. I'm just going to make a separate post and consider it a collective haul or use the items in my Spring outfit ideas series.

Link to fake CL shoes:
**As of 2/27 (evening) the available styles are on the second page.  This link should take you to the second page but if you have an issue, the front page of AMI's site has a link on the left titled "Shoes under $15"

http://www.amiclubwear.com/cheap-heels-under-15.html?sorttype=0&size=0&page=2

Heel seams on both sling back and peep toe

You can tell the quality of the shoe around the heel.  Visible glue...seam doesn't seem like they even tried to conceal it.

Inside looks kinda worn doesn't it??

Scuffs and dents on "brand new" shoes.....I am sort of picky....I do kinda like my new shoes to be new.

The white didn't photograph well enough to pick up all of the dents. This is the most visible in pics.

Now why am I keeping these shoes and putting up with damage?

Well first of all they are cheap shoes.  I think after discount codes and including shipping I paid around $17 for each pair.  They're not pricier brands. Aldo, Jessica Simpson, Bakers, etc.

Second I've heard horror stories about Ami and returns. I've heard that even for damages and their mistakes the customer is held responsible for return shipping and then they'll only offer you a partial credit.  Well I contacted them regarding the pair that you can see the inside is worn.  And yes, they told me that I could send the worn pair back and they would replace them.  So I questioned why I had to pay when the shoes were worn...they said they would credit my shipping upon receipt of the shoes...but I just didn't really feel like dealing with it.

So there you have it.

Stayin in---Movie Night....

So I have a test and a paper that were due last night.  In true slacker form, I haven't finished them.  This is my first real moment of laziness this entire quarter and I feel horrible.  HORRIBLE!!! I'm actually praying I get called off of work tomorrow because I'll be (hopefully) sitting up until this work is finished and I know I'll be dead tired.

Right now I'm watching A League of Their Own. I absolutely love this movie so it's making me feel a little bit better. It's making being snowed in not so bad.

It's kind of fascinating how people lived back then.

No televisions.

No computers.

Everything you would need right in your town.

Sometimes I wish I could have lived back then.  Even though I would have dealt with way less rights, life would have been so much...slower...I feel like with the way life is now, I don't have time to stop and breath often.  School expects so much more out you because there are so many more people to compete against and there are so many more resources at your finger tips.

I just need a break if you can't tell.  I want nothing more than to go to the city and lock myself in a hotel room for two days....Perfect.

First YouTube video!!!

Okay so I made my first YouTube video yesterday *Yaaaaay!!!*  It kinda sucks but it does just what it's supposed to do: Introduce me.

I learned how to edit on Apple computers.  You don't really realize how great something is until you don't have access to it right? Anyway, I'm now taking this a challenge to learn how to better edit using different software as well as to practice and break the monotony of school work allllll day long.

I also didn't realize how hard it is to film yourself.  That was an adventure in itself.  I didn't realize how shaky my arm was while filming my OOTD and that you could see so much of my back deck.  I think I'm just going to invest in some better lighting for my bedroom or suck it up and use my closet. We'll see.

Oh and I have one subbie! Yaaaay! LoL. Hopefully once I start making more interesting videos it will all pick up.  I think up next I'm going to do my thoughts on AMI Clubwear. People keep asking me about them since I order from them a lot...and the reviews either praise them or rip them apart...either that or I'm going to finally do a collective haul or a makeup collection or a room tour (once I clean this mess up) So we'll see.

OOTD- Outfit of the Day 2/24/2010

I wore this on Weds Feb 24.  I'm a little late posting it but ya know...things happen.  I was going to work on this post during my first class but somebody stole my seat and I hate doing things like this with other people sitting behind me.... So here it is:

Pretty simple because I was going to class and I was planning on walking from one building to the next so I tried to put comfort first...

My sweater is from Old Navy.  It's just a green long cardigan with a tie waist.  It has slight "genie" sleeves but nothing major.  It kind of makes me sad because I was able to snag it during my nearest Old Navy's going out of business sale. I hate when places go out of business...mostly because that many people lose their jobs....but I love the sales I can snag.  I scored a ton of sweaters, some cute, comfy summery outfits, and a ton of jazzy sandals (they were under $2 a piece!!)

I have on a basic cami from Forever 21 underneath.  This color is "light brown."  These only cost $2.50 and are very comfortable and hold up well so I definitely suggest these.

For jeans I just wore a pair of dark Express jeans. I love Express jeans. They're the best fitting jeans I've found. I'd like to graduate to "big girl" brands though.  My boots are from amiclubwear.com.  I'm in a bad relationship with ami.  They do me wrong, then they do me right and I feel half way good again...but I just can't leave. My necklace I honestly think is Express brand but purchased from this great store we have here called Gabes (LOVE)

In other news, I was going to attempt to make my introduction video for YouTube today. FAIL.  I had a tonsillectomy in December and the dry air is affecting my throat...two months later.  When I get on a roll and start really talking, I begin to stutter on words.  It's like something in my throat isn't oiled well enough and the words are getting caught.  Plus it hurts :o( So I'm not going to get off the ground with that until my throat starts to feel better. Please pray for my throat! I really want to start making videos! I sat down in front of my laptop and turned on the webcam to try to find the best lighting and it took me back to my senior year of high school and broadcast journalism class. Awwww memories :o)

It's 1:28 a.m.  Think it's time for bed?

OOTD- Outfit of the Day 2/23/2010 (and FIRST day of new job!)

I started my new job at Trade Secret today.  I think I'm really going to like it.  It seems to be more along my line of interest than my previous job.  I'm not going to get a lot of hours but honestly I think I need to concentrate more on school and this will allow me to do so.  I also get to dress up and put clothes on unlike my previous job.  Maybe now more clothes will actually get worn.

I'm going to try to become more creative with my outfits.  This one I wore today is pretty boring.  It's actually a little bit frumpy but I didn't want to wear something too intense for the first day but we're allowed to wear skirts that aren't too short and open toed shoes so Spring should be fun.

So here is my outfit of the day. I think I was inspired by the Parliament judges and other men from back in the 1700s.  Or Prince.

(I've realized that the lighting in my living room is the best in my house so pardon me until I find better.  Luckily I have a wall mirror that I haven't attached yet lol.  I just hope nobody catches me or they'll surely think I'm crazy.)

OUTFIT OF THE DAY:
It's pretty simple. I wore a white ruffled shirt from Miley Cirus' (and you can tell I'm not a fan. Is that how you spell her last name??) Walmart line.  It was on sale for $3!!! Bonus!! Check your local store out and see if they still have any in stock.  They also had a zebra type printed one and plain black on sale at mine.
I put a black cardigan from JC Penney on top.  It has a self tie around the waist.  I love cardigans.
For pants, I wore my uniform pants from my time at SiJCP.  Those are the most comfortable black pants I own.

 Accessories and Shoes:

I think this ring is from Wet Seal.  The nail polish is Louvre Me, Louvre Me Not by OPI.  Sorry about the crappy "manicure."  It was done at work.

These earrings came as a set from Forever21.com.  I know that they're sold out online but your store might have them available.
I got these shoes from TJMaxx. They're a brand named Tahari.  I still love menswear inspired shoes.

The UPS man just dropped off a Forever 21 package (yay!) and a top from AMI and a dress from GoJane.com came earlier today.  I may take some pictures and do a collective haul post later...but I have another Forever 21 package coming tomorrow so I may wait...we'll see....

Until then........

Introduction

This is just going to be a little bit about me, why I'm starting this blog, what will be talked about here....wherever my mind takes me.

I'll start with who I am.  I'm a college student.  I consider myself to be  for the most part traditional as I began college right out of high school and have been a continued student since 2004. My major is Public Relations...I have no idea exactly what I want to do in this field but I like to think of myself as a people person and Public= people. (lol) I won't reveal what school I attend now (for safety/ privacy reasons) but maybe down the road...

My major interests are fashion, makeup, anything having to do with style really.  Personal style is a huge reflection of who a person is. Yes, I dress for school.  I've never really been a fan of sweat pants.  I don't find them to be comfortable to tell you the truth.  Plus, in my career I won't be wearing sweatpants to work.

Pretty much I'm starting my blog as a way to (briefly) take my mind off of school work and studying.  I don't want to be a big time blogger.  That's not what I'm here for.  If one person stumbles upon this blog and tries something new or feels some sort of inspiration because of it, I'm content.

Things I would like to write about:
-Outfits.  Possibly Outfit of the Day posts and Outfit Idea posts.  I like to look at how other people have put outfits together.  They've probably done something I would have never thought of on my own.  On the same note, people often tell me that they would have never come up with combination that I have done.

-Hauls.  Pretty self explanatory. I won't show every single item I purchase as I'm sure that would be pretty boring.  Just if I pick up something I really really like and think other people would enjoy seeing.

-Day in the Life.  We'll see how this pans out.  I have a YouTube channel that I'm considering uploading some videos to as well.  It will probably be easier to do actual videos but you never know. I might do something interesting that I want to write a blog about.

-Observations.  Nothing too deep.  I'm serious.  I have another blog that will be used for anything debatable and rants. I want to keep it light and airy.

So I hope somebody finds something interesting on this blog.  I look forward to writing for you all!
