Express enticed me.
This dress popped up in an add and I was intrigued:
I ordered it in red because I don't have a lot of red (actually I don't think I own any red other than a couple of dressy dresses) I feel like I can dress this down easily. Obviously the model looks pretty casual wearing hers with jeans. I'll do a nice little sweater and jeans. I considered ordering the skirt because I don't really own any skirts like that but again, I don't usually spend $50 on skirts. However, Express has their "save $30 on $75" going on right now- it would begin the day after I place my order. I may reorder the shirt and the skirt and technically the shirt will be free and just return the original shirt but that's sort of a hassle isn't it? But $30 is $30 and I might be able to justify the skirt more if the shirt is basically free....
Enough rambling! The next item:
Don't ask. I liked how it looked...and for the price. LoL that's horrible. But it also comes in a pretty pink, a beautiful blue, and a basic black. I would say I need the blue but I would be lying to myself.
And going with the theme of "you can never have enough basic sweaters":
I will start off by saying I used to not understand the whole blue with brown trend...then I accidentally wound up in blue and brown (I think I was wearing navy and needed to run outside and had a pair of cognac flip flops sitting by the door...caught a glimpse of myself and it was over) and now I really like how it looks. I plan to wear a lot of navy and brown the rest of summer and into fall.
And that concludes the Express portion of my haul. I really think I will order that skirt and reorder the shirt...saving money never hurt anybody right? Tootles!
